WS 5 Micron PP Sediment Filter Cartridge – 20″ × 4″

The WS 5 Micron PP Sediment Filter Cartridge is designed for effective physical sediment filtration in domestic, borewell and commercial water filtration systems. It is commonly used with a 20-inch Jumbo Filter Housing as a pre-filtration stage before water enters the overhead tank, RO purifier or other water treatment equipment.

The cartridge is made from polypropylene (PP) filter media and is designed to trap suspended physical impurities present in water. It helps reduce common sediments such as mud, sand, silt, rust particles and other visible suspended particles.

Why Use a Sediment Filter?

Borewell and other water sources can sometimes contain mud, sand, rust and suspended particles. If these particles are allowed to pass directly into the plumbing system, they can accumulate in storage tanks, pipes, taps and other water equipment.

Installing a sediment filter as a pre-filter helps reduce these physical impurities before the water moves further into the water system.

Replacement

The replacement frequency depends on the quality of incoming water, sediment load and daily water consumption. A heavily clogged or visibly dirty cartridge should be replaced to maintain proper water flow and filtration performance.

Important Note

This is a physical sediment filter. It helps reduce suspended particles such as mud, sand, silt and rust. It does not remove TDS, hardness, dissolved salts or other dissolved chemical contaminants from water.

For better borewell water filtration, this cartridge can also be used as part of a multi-stage filtration system along with a suitable washable or pleated sediment filter.
